POSITION: Computer Science- CTE Teacher 2024-2025 School Year

Full or part-time arrangements are available. Harrisburg operates on a 4-day school week M-TH. The CTE Revitalization Grant is funding this position.

 

SALARY RANGE: Placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with experience.

 

BENEFITS: Employer-paid insurance CAP to assist with health, dental, and vision premiums. Also includes basic life and AD&D policies, paid holidays, personal days, sick leave, and PERS retirement contribution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:     

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or related field.
  • Two years of experience teaching computer science or related subjects. 
  • Experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
  • Ability to develop sequential computer science courses aligned with Oregon CS Standards.
  • Understanding of programming languages, algorithms, databases, and project design.
  • Ability to align curriculum to industry certifications and relevant job markets.
  • Able to track student progress, and ensure program completion.
  • Dedication to increasing student interest and competency in computer science.
  • Able to offer engaging curriculum, hands-on projects, and exposure to real-world applications.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse audience.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
